Well, this is a first for me (apart from a couple of attempts on our internal blog) - writing a post on an open blog. I thought about creating a blog myself but I think this will be more useful….and fun. I’m really looking forward to Click06 - I co-authored one of the papers being presented. (And that’s a first too!) I’ve got to say, opportunities to spread my wings and attempt new things have certainly come my way this year at my place of work. I hope it continues. I hope other library technicians will join in and contribute to this forum.

Here’s your gold paper “first self registered contributor” crown to wear. Thanks for getting into the spirit of the blog so soon. It’s going to be interesting to see where the first posters come from. I have a sneaking suspicion that library techs are going to be well represented.

Hi Jo,
This is a first for me too. I am also going to Click 06 and am excited. I wanted to learn more about this amazing industry as I will be fully qualified by the end of this year. Right now, I am a technician working in a public library and loving it (or most of it!).
