It is now possible to create your own ‘book’ of Wikipedia articles and either download it as a PDF, or order a bound copy.
That adds a whole new dimension to collection development, and opens up possibilities for creating open educational resources.
Help:Books – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
Currently only Wikipedia editors can save books permanently, but maybe in the future libraries will be able to select articles to suit particular needs for their communites and add the book to their virtual bookshelf.

I have an award for you at http://readersrandomramblings.blogspot.com/2009/08/attack-of-zombie-chickens.html

The Zombie Chicken Award is most unusual.
“This prestigious award is given to bloggers who, and I quote,… “regularly produce content so remarkable that their readers would brave a raving pack of zombie chickens just to be able to read their inspiring words”"
Thank you Fiona – I hope you did not sustain any injuries in fighting off the zombie chickens. Good luck with your Teacher Librarian studies. One day you may be braving a horde of raving school children – this might be good experience.
