Over the coming fortnight a number of open forums are being held in capital cities to gather input on how the Australian Government can use ‘web 2.0′ technologies in consultation and engagement with citizens and how it can expand the uses of Commonwealth information.
The first one is being held today in Canberra, and RSVPS have just closed for Melbourne, but you can still register to attend forums in the remaining cities.
Dates and venues for the ‘roadshows’ are available from the government 2.0 taskforce site. There is some discussion on the site about the need for engaging with citizens outside of capital cities.
The hashtag #GOV2AU is being used on Twitter (and probably elsewhere) for discussions. The taskforce also has a Twitter presence – @gov2taskforce
