Advice on digital images

For almost everything you ever thought you might want to know about finding and using digital images for teaching, learning and research…

TASI :: Advice - Finding and Using Digital Images

Topics covered include:

Finding historical images, using Flickr to organise a collection of images, finding maps, preparing images for publication, user issues and digital rights management and guides for using images in specific learning management systems.

I did find the style of writing somewhat dry - it could stand some revision to make it more web consumable. For example, on the pages I looked at, all the links were at the bottom. I just wanted to click a link when a useful resource was mentioned, not scroll down to the table of links. If I’d been using my eee pc with its very small screen, I probably wouldn’t have seen them at all!

Thanks for the great information. I do agree with you, they need to have the links more easily accessable then they are but if was still very helpful.

TASI is great :-) I found its guide to Converting your Slides into Digital Form very useful late last year
