The Oral History Association of Australia is holding its biennial conference in Brisbane in late September (27-30th). Old stories, new ways is the theme with presentations on interpreting story, working with community, understanding memory, oral history and independent practitioners and addressing changing technologies. There is an optional excursion to North Stradbroke Island to visit the Historical Museum and the National Trust listed Dunwich Cemetery and to the Gorge (you might spot a whale, turtle or dolphin) and a swim at Cylinder Beach.
Early bird registration closes on the 30th June.
