Keeping up with Parliament

Posted February 7th 2007 @ 7:40 am by Fiona Bradley

It’s a new year (well, sort of) and Parliament is sitting for the first time in 2007. As librarians, we often need to find out about new Bills, legislation, and government publications, no matter what kind of library we work in. Here’s a roundup of resources you can use to keep up to date:

The Parliamentary Library has an RSS feed of their new publications.

My favourite part of the Parliamentary website, This Week in the House is finally part of a RSS feed.

If you have too much time on your hands, you can stream video of the Senate, House of Representatives, and some committee meetings. Those with digital set-top boxes might know that you can also enjoy a bowl of popcorn & parliament at home into the late hours from channel 44+

AGIMO also connects you to various government information points including the government publications register.
