Sharon Karasmanis from La Trobe University Library reports that the collection at Information Online conference raised an additional $1055 dollars for the Libs for Africa campaign.

She also mentions that Batchelor Institute for Indigenous Tertiary Education in remote Northern Territory is the first place to take up the challenge and conduct a fund raiser for Libs for Africa. They held a morning tea with gold coin donation, raised $170, and their institution matched it for a total of $340-00!  What a wonderful support from a small community!

The total received and pledges stands at $4011 which is enough register 6 librarians at the IFLA conference.
