You’ve probably noticed that we’ve decluttered our sidebar a bit. (Thanks Peta).
We’ve added a “From the Thali” section for notes from us to you. For example:
- we’re holding our blogathon now (aiming for one blog post every 30 mins. Missed the event held in July this year).
- the blog will be unavailable this morning due to maintenance.
- we’ve made it to the top 100 000 blogs on technorati !
- congratulations to Corey on his new job as Systems Librarian at the University of Adelaide.
So….what’s the Thali? A few things:
- According to wikipedia, a thali is: an Indian meal with contents varying from one regional cuisine to another. A thali is a selection of different dishes, usually served in small bowls on a round tray. Typical dishes might include rice, dal, vegetables, chapati, papad, curd (yoghurt), small amounts of chutney or pickle, and a sweet dish to top it. A bit like a blog with delectable treats from all around Australian libraryland.
- It could stand for “This Helps Australian Libraries Interact”.
