Hi Everyone, We have received some great feedback in the last few days about this new service. Yes – we want to hear how you are using it, what are you searching for, what can improve ? We hope that ALIA members enjoy catching up on your favourite LIS research topic and adding to your general professional development. This is another great tangible benefit of ALIA membership. Your support then contributes to all the other activities and services that ALIA offers and undertakes on your behalf as a professional Association. I think this is a great initiative – it gives those of us in alternative work situations access to professional information, and indeed some actual quantifiable benefit from membership – I know there’s a lot of intangible benefits relating to advocacy, professionalism and so on, resulting from ALIA, but in terms of what I personally can use, this looks ideal.

It would be great to hear how members are planning to take advantage of this offer. Will you be subscribing to table of contents feeds, or just planning to visit the database when the need arises.
