I think this is a great initiative – it gives those of us in alternative work situations access to professional information, and indeed some actual quantifiable benefit from membership – I know there’s a lot of intangible benefits relating to advocacy, professionalism and so on, resulting from ALIA, but in terms of what I personally can use, this looks ideal.

It would be great to hear how members are planning to take advantage of this offer. Will you be subscribing to table of contents feeds, or just planning to visit the database when the need arises.
