Hi Kim, which eee do you have? I’m currently using the 901 and getting around 6-6.5 hours battery life. With that said, it wasn’t quite enough for a full day’s work with wifi running; would prefer 8-10 hours myself

Asus Eee is very convenient to carry. It is my walkaround laptop wherever i go. The battery life could have been better though

what i like about the Asus Eee PC is that it is very lightweight and very portable that you can just carry it anywhere.

hi we got one of these for my boy but we had a muck up and had to set it back to factory settings but it is in japanese and we cant work out how to change it to english if aanyone knows it would be a great help please.

I was tempted by the eeePC just before I went overseas earlier this year. Since I also needed a phone, I chose a Palm Treo (Palm OS) with a 4G SD card and a folding keyboard instead. Since I don’t surf the web from my phone (2inch screen), I found that carrying a bunch of ebooks and journalling while on the go certainly worked.
There is also the upside that a phone is even lighter than this neat gadget and in a tight corner, there is always the ability to either use the thumb-keyboard, “Graffiti” handwriting or record a memo.

I find myself still tempted, I just can’t justify it in time or investment terms at the moment. Perhaps next year?
