Next week, LITA promises to roll out audio from the LITA President’s program as well as “the great debate” – Do libraries innovate? Library Journal’s ALA roundup: stats, SPARC, Google, and innovation, describes it “While the panel was lively and drew its share of laughs, the serious question of whether libraries innovate drew a mixed response (with Abram saying no), and a rebuke to what the panel saw as an excessively negative librarian culture which doesn’t tolerate failure or encourage experimentation.” Ooh! Must listen in to this one next week.
