Open Publish 2007 and Our Media 2007

With more libraries, especially academic libraries, taking on roles as publishers of scholarly materials the Open Publish 2007 conference in Sydney this August may be an important one to watch:

“Covering critical ideas such as wikis, blogs, single-sourcing data and content management, Open Publish will discuss these topics from the perspective of best practices, project methodologies and human/usability factors rather than simply technology.”

OurMedia 07 will be held in Sydney in April and focuses on the democratic potential of media. As librarians, we are concerned with access to information, of which media is one form. There are also a couple of papers on the WSIS process which IFLA has been heavily involved with

Which other non-library, but library relevant, conferences are you interested in attending this year?
